Magazine Swap
Thanks for your interest in joining the Magazine Swap.
The sign up period is now over.
Thank you very much to all of you who signed up. It is very exciting to count so many countries in the list of entries, so I’m looking forward to seeing what lovely magazines you all receive. I felt tempted to pair you all up with me :-)
But I was good. All the names (more than 100 entries!) were mixed and then I closed my eyes and randomly took pairs. I sent all the emails today but a few of them bounced back.
If you signed up for the swap but haven’t received an email with your swap partner information, please contact me (swap AT cottonstrudel DOT com) and let me know.
If there seems to be an error, please let me know as well. Please be patient, it was a lot of work to organise so many entries and emails. My fingers are numb!
Also, the Magazine Swap Flickr group is now available for all participants to join in.

Details
- Read all the following details and if you agree, sign up for the Mag Swap by filling in the form above. The deadline for signing up is Monday, 12th June, 2006.
To avoid misunderstandings, please be aware that by signing up you agree to buy and post a magazine internationally.
- Once all the names are received, I’ll randomly pair up participants of different countries.
To be fair to everybody, I feel I must say that if the amount of US entries grows much higher than other countries, I will be forced to limit the number of US participants and it will be decided on a first come, first served basis.
- On Wednesday, 14th June, 2006, each participant will receive an email with their assigned swap partner.
- Please send an email to your swap partner, introducing yourself, exchanging mailing addresses and letting them know what sort of magazines you enjoy. (Is it knitting? Cooking? Home decorating? General crafts? Fashion?)
- Based on your email conversations, go out and choose a magazine you think your swap partner would enjoy and send it to them. I believe two weeks are enough time to buy and post a magazine, right? So please make sure you post your magazine by Wednesday, 28th June, 2006.
- Be nice to your posty and give him/her a thankful smile as they deliver your new magazine.
- Take some photos of your new magazine and add them to the Mag Swap Flickr Group (You’ll receive an invite to join the Flickr group after you sign up for the swap.)
